This document outlines the shipping and delivery procedures, terms, and responsibilities for all international orders of precious gemstones (“Products”) from AbhaShri Gems (“we,” “us,” “our”). By placing an order with us, you (“Client,” “you,” “your”) agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Shipping Partners & Security
We understand the high value and sensitive nature of our Products. To ensure maximum security and reliability, all our international shipments are handled by industry-leading, trusted logistics partners who specialize in high-value goods.
- Primary Carriers: FedEx®, DHL Express®, Malca-Amit, or Brinks®.
- Packaging: All gemstones are securely packaged in discreet, tamper-proof parcels to ensure they are protected during transit and do not draw unwanted attention.
2. Shipping Costs & Insurance
Your peace of mind is our priority. Therefore, every shipment is fully insured from the moment it leaves our premises until it is delivered to you.
- Shipping Costs: The Client is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. These costs will be calculated based on the destination, parcel weight, and the value of the shipment.
- Mandatory Insurance: Full transit insurance is mandatory for all orders. The insurance cost is based on the total value of the Products.
- Quotation: A detailed and transparent breakdown of all shipping and insurance costs will be provided in your formal quotation before you confirm your order.
3. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
Navigating international customs is a key part of the import process for the Client.
- Client’s Responsibility: The Client is solely responsible for all import duties, customs clearance fees, Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and any other taxes or levies imposed by the destination country.
- Our Responsibility: We are responsible for all export documentation and customs clearance from India. We will provide all necessary documents, including a Commercial Invoice and Certificate of Origin, to facilitate a smooth process.
- Recommendation: We strongly advise you to consult with a local customs broker in your country to understand the specific import requirements and potential costs before placing an order. We are not responsible for any delays or additional costs incurred due to the customs procedures in your country.
4. Estimated Delivery Times
- Processing Time: Orders are typically processed and dispatched within [e.g., 3-5] business days after we have received full payment.
- Transit Time: Estimated transit times for international delivery are typically between [e.g., 7-10] business days.
- Disclaimer: Please note that these are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by our shipping partners, customs holds, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our direct control.
5. Shipment Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email notification containing the following:
- The name of the shipping carrier.
- Your unique tracking number.
- A link to the carrier’s website where you can monitor the progress of your shipment in real-time.
6. Delivery and Inspection
It is crucial to inspect your parcel immediately upon arrival.
- Receiving the Parcel: Please ensure that you or an authorized representative is available to sign for the delivery.
- Inspection Period: You have a 48-hour window from the time of delivery to inspect the parcel for any signs of tampering or external damage.
- Reporting Damage: If you notice any damage to the parcel, do not open it. Take clear photographs of the unopened parcel from all angles and contact us immediately. This is necessary for filing an insurance claim.
- Acceptance: If we do not receive any notification of damage or discrepancy within the 48-hour inspection period, the shipment will be considered delivered and accepted in good condition.
